I’m back to the blogging world and I am so excited!  During the last 8 months A LOT has happened.  To sum it up quickly, I got the first cuts from my fabric line, I sewed 10 quilts, I had a baby, 2 quilts were picked up by magazines, and I wrote patterns for the remaining 8 quilts.  Yep, they are done, DONE, and D.O.N.E!!!  Oh I forgot to mention, I actually wrote 2 others for patterns not using my fabric.

One of my favorite patterns is the Modern Asterisk pattern.  I had so much fun making it.  There was a lot of trial and error getting the templates to be just perfect so that there wasn’t too much bulk and still looked the right way.  But, once I got it figured out, it came together beautifully!

So, when I walked into one of my local quilt shops, Pine Needles, and they had just received their shipment of Riley Blake’s Chevron fabric in, it instantly inspired this little beauty.

So I’ve got the fabric in hand and even have the background fabric just about cut out.  The nice thing about paper piecing is the cutting goes super fast since you don’t have to be exact.  I hope to have it done by then end of next week.
