Do you ever have those days when you want to get absolutely nothing accomplished???  Oh, that has been me lately.  I just haven’t really wanted to do anything productive.  Just veg and watch my favorite shows.  But then, I would have to compete with “Jake and the Neverland Pirates.”  So I finally gave myself a talkin’ to and decided to get my little behind in gear and get to some sewing.  It has definitely paid off.  I finally finished the quilt top for the “Serenity” quilt.  I can’t wait to get it quilted and then to add the 3-Dimensional flowers to it.

Here is the quilt top ready to go to the quilter and then to get the 3-Dimensional flowers added. The symbol means "Love".

I am also am well underway on a new quilt.  I call it my Starry Dreams quilt and it is made out of Riley Blake’s upcoming line “Serenata”.  I loved this fabric the second I saw it listed on their website and instantly started brainstorming the perfect option to use my favorite pieces from the collection.  Plus, I was ready to stretch myself a little in my quilting skill set.  This is a bit on the advanced side but with patience and thoroughness is completely doable.  I can’t wait to get it finished and quilted.  I still have a bit of piecing left to do and then to make the corner pieces.  But I should hopefully have it done in time to show for next week’s WIP.  I hope people will like it.  It looks stunning in person.  When it is done I’ll take some better pics to share.

This is the center block for the quilt. I love how it turned out!

Here is the quilt with the next section (the feathered star) added to the center block. It's just laid out on the floor. I love how it looks.
